It was nice to meet all of the parents last night. Hopefully some of them are now checking in with our blog!
**Please be aware of the Geography test on Thursday September 28, immediately following Mindfulness.** The test will be one question long and the open book format will be observed. You will be given a main idea, and asked to prove this idea, using evidence. This will call into play your paragraph writing skills. In order to prepare, place special emphasis on the reading in Unit 1 Chapter 2.

Homework for tomorrow:
Math- page 383 # 1- 4 (Number 1 requires you to tell the "Number Story)
Literacy- complete the worksheet on Michelangelo and ensure you have your picture ready
Geography- P. 39 # 1-5

Important reminder***
All students should be moving into the writing phase of their Reading Folder assignment. If you have a Monday hand in date, you are already behind. Please begin your rough draft immediately.
Please spend some time going over the math review sheets. They are due for completion prior to tomorrow's test.

Monday, 18 September 2017

Only homework tonight is to bring in a picture that you find, that you feel inspired to write about. This picture should trigger plot elements about a narrative that you make up. For example, if you select a picture for which you already know the beginning, middle and end, you will have to make up a completely fictitious story. Printing it is best but if it's on your phone, that is also acceptable. Note: you will be required to print the picture eventually anyway, when you submit the project.
