The focus will be on Making connections, Identifying characteristics of suspense, Identifying main ideas and connecting supporting ideas. The hand in date is set for Friday October 19 to allow you to focus on preparing for your Math Test and for our newer students to get their Reading Folders ready for the 18th. I would like to wish you all a happy thanksgiving. There is no Math homework. For those who were away today we practised long division of a 4-digit dividend by a 2-digit divisor. It is recommended that you sit with a family member and try a couple in order to stay up to date. For homework I am asking only for the good copies of your paragraph to be ready on Tuesday morning. Please make sure you follow the success criteria:

No new assignments for homework. Just make sure you're keeping up with reading folders.

Some of the reading folders are showing some good connections. Please make sure that your connections allow you to make some kind of inference (a conclusion you come to about a character/ event in the story that you are not told explicitly) and that you share the details of that inference,
