We are set for our first Math test Friday morning. Here are you learning goals.
Grade 6- Make sure:
You can find geometric patterns and represent them numerically.
You can describe in words the pattern made by adding or subtracting a number or multiplying or dividing a number.
You can describe in words the pattern rule for the general term by referring to the term number.
You can make tables of values for growing patterns given in words, and then list the ordered pairs.
You can explain how a coordinate system represents location and plot points in the first quadrant.
You can find a term given its term number.
You can find the term number of a given term in a growing pattern given in words, a table of values or a graph.
Grade 7- Make sure:
You can represent linear growing patterns using a variety of tools and strategies.
You can make predictions about linear growing patterns.
You can represent the general term of a pattern using an algebraic expression involving one operation.
You can compare pattern rules.
You can create table of values and graphs of real-life relationships involving constant rates where the initial condition starting at 0.
